Elegance Screens Symphony 120" Inch 16:9 Fixed Frame is Suitable for domestic and commercial use, the Symphony fixed projection screen by Elegance Screens is an easy to assemble, professional screen covered in the finest deep black velour finish. The Symphony consists of dual layered material, which does not allow light to penetrate through the fabric. This results in improved brightness levels, as well as reflecting the projector’s true contrast ratio. Constructed out of Aircraft grade aluminium and tensioners, the Symphony does not allow for any folds, creases, or v waves due its unique engineered design and its remarkable ability to maintain tension year after year, day after day.

The Symphony screen provides an ideal surface for virtually any projector including DLP, LCD, & CRT projectors. Sharpness, definition, brightness and contrast are all vastly enhanced through the platinum screen material. The Symphony is also compatible with all 720p and 1080p projectors accommodating the fine dot pitch resolution produced by these projectors without any blurring affect. By utilising the full resolution of the projector, the Symphony allows for a sharper, more vibrant image that is also easier on the eyes than conventional screens. The result is an unparalleled crystal clear image providing The ultimate experience in Cinematic Viewing.
TWIN LAYERED PVC BACKED SCREEN MATERIAL
All Elegance fixed screens use a Twin Layered Matte White material, backed with a black light absorbing PVC backing. The design effectively stops light loss through the back of the screen, resulting in more visible light reflecting back to viewer. This increase in projected light not only improves contrast levels, colour saturation, and brightness, It also allows for the projector to be run at a lower brightness setting saving precious lamp life.
Most fixed screens sold in today's market are made with opaque material. When opaque material is held up to the sun, it will become see-through as the sun's rays will pass straight through. The same problem occurs when your bright projector's image hits a non backed screen material or opaque material. The image simply passes through losing contrast, brightness, and sharpness.
Other twin layered screens on the market sell for well over $3000 dollars retail. Make sure when purchasing a fixed screen that the material supplied is backed, and not simply opaque white on both sides.
FORGED AIRCRAFT GRADE ALUMINIUM FRAME AND TENSIONING SYSTEM
Constructed out of forged, aircraft grade aluminium, the Symphony by Elegance Screens is one of the strongest and most solidly built projector screens on the market today. This strength is essential in order to provide even and uniform tension in the screen material. Without this strength, the screen would eventually droop and allow for creases. In combination with a strong frame, the design team at Elegance Screens also developed a unique two stage tensioning system to further ensure evenness and uniformity in the screen surface.
Stage One involves the Platinum screen material being affixed to the frame at no fewer than 20 specially designed anchor points.
Stage Two of this design utilises Equalization Rods which surround the perimeter of the screen material. This aids in the distribution of tension from those 20 anchor points to the rest of the screen surface, equally and evenly without any folds, sagging, creases ,or V waves.
Unlike other screens on the market today, this design effectively eliminated the common problems associated with uneven screen tension visible in cheaply designed screens. Due its unique engineered design, the Symphony provides a perfectly flat viewing surface and maintains even and uniform tension year after year, day after day.
BLACKEST & FINEST VELOUR FINISH
Having the finest and blackest velour is not only a design statement but serves an essential function in a home theatre screen. That function being 'screen blanking'.
Screen blanking is the removal of stray light from the screen edges and creating a perfectly correct image. Regardless of the installation type and the level of accuracy when installing a projector, a projected image will always minutely stray off to the screen edges. What is needed is a screen edge that is capable of absorbing this light without reflecting the distorted beam back to the viewer.
The high grade deep black plush velour used by Elegance Screens in the Symphony range is specially designed to absorb the maximum amount of stray light and thus create a perfectly uniform, square image with improved corner sharpness.
MATTE WHITE SOFT GAIN PLATINUM MATERIAL
The Symphony by Elegance Screens, utilises a specially designed Platinum Matte White Screen Material, which not only maintains the resolution of a projected image but also improves the perceived sharpness. The optically corrected material boasts a gain rating of 1 which means that the amount of light projected will be the exact amount reflected back to the viewer without any decrease in brightness or any light loss by absorbsion. The colour neutral projection surface allows for pure colour accuracy displaying colours correctly without any shifts to the blue or red spectrum.
PURE COLOUR ACCURACY
The Elegance Screen projection screen starts with pure colour accuracy. The carefully selected matte white material of the Symphony, provides the most accurate colour reproduction and gain from your projector.
Other projector screens can colour shift, making projected images appear to push blue or red. This push of colours creates an un-natural colour balance to your projected image. The Symphony is completely neutral in colour reproduction, thereby providing complete balanced colour uniformity for true natural vibrant colour.
MOIRE' FREE WITH ALL DIGITAL AND CRT PROJECTORS
Moire' is caused when a projector's pixel pattern does not match the micro surface pattern of a projection screen. This mismatch causes the illusion of wavy, non-uniform pattern which can severely degrade the picture quality of a projected image and corner to corner uniformity. The Symphony by Elegance Screens eliminates this phenomenon with a specially designed micro platinum screen material compatible will all digital and CRT projectors including high resolution 1080p ,Blue Ray and HD DVD units. Even at various projection angles and throw distances, the Symphony effectively eliminated Moire' providing an image unmatched in uniformity and clarity.
INCREASED SHARPNESS
The specially designed screen material used in the Symphony fixed projection screen, increases the sharpness of your projected image. This is crucial with softer projectors using D-ILA, LCOS and CRT technology. As the picture of these projectors tend to be soft by default, the last thing you would want is a screen that makes the image even softer, doubling this effect and resulting in unwanted image blurring. The Symphony by Elegance Screens not only maintains clarity but also increases the perceived sharpness of the image. Images from all projectors including DLP, LCD and 1080p models will look cleaner and crisper allowing for a more enjoyable, easy on the eyes experience.
EDGE TO EDGE IMAGE CONSISTENCY
Screens with a gain usually do not have a consistent image from edge to edge. This is due to hot spotting (see below) or brightness drop outside of narrow viewing angles. This inconsistency is caused by using a pearlescent coating to create a gain. Elegance Screens guarantees you a Clear, Consistent, Bright, Vibrant Image From Edge to Edge, Corner to Corner.
NO HOT SPOTTING
One HUGE problem associated with projection screens is Hot Spotting. Hot-spotting is a term that’s used to describe the effect of getting uneven or pronounced areas of light, in the centre of the projected image. This phenomenon produces itself as a whitish, glareish blob as seen on second image to the right.
With most projection screens, the material used to provide the screen surface is coated with a pearlescent coating. This coating can take on the properties of a mirror, i.e. reflects the light back in-line with the conical light path from the projector. The special platinum material used in the Symphony range improves brightness, sharpness, and contrast while at the same time eliminating hot-spotting with its unique engineered design.
180º DEGREES VIEWING ANGLE
Screens with gain usually have a narrow field if view, losing brightness when viewed from an angle. The Symphony by Elegance Screens has 180 degree wide viewing angle so your image will look the same no matter what angle you look at it from.
DURABILITY
The Symphony utilises an extremely strong frame and screen material that will outlast any projector. It is impossible to tear by hand or by flying blunt objects. It also can be easily cleaned using mild soapy water, and sponge.
6 YEARS AUSTRALIAN WARRANTY
The Symphony by Elegance Screens is backed with a 6 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects in workmanship and materials.
