Details
AudioQuest Cinnamon USB is equipped with high-purity 1.25% Silver conductors and a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation for optimal radio-frequency noise dissipation.

Solid 1.25% Silver Conductors
Solid conductors reduce the negative impacts of electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction. For digital cables, where signals are of such high frequency that they mainly travel on the conductors surface, AudioQuest applies thicker layers of silver plating to its Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to enhance Noise-Dissipation. By placing the higher-quality metal on the conductors outer layer, it maximizes overall performance, providing a highly cost-effective method to improve a digital cable.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Achieving 100% shield coverage is straightforward. To prevent captured radio-frequency interference (RFI) from affecting the equipments ground reference, AQs Noise-Dissipation is required. Traditional shielding systems usually absorb and then redirect noise/RF energy to the component ground, which can alter and distort the crucial reference ground plane, leading to signal distortion. Noise-Dissipation shields the shield, absorbing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the ground-attached layer.

Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) Insulation maintains the crucial signal-pair geometry. Any solid material near a conductor contributes to an imperfect circuit, as wire insulation and circuit board materials absorb energy, some of which is stored and later released as distortion. Hard-Cell Foam Insulation, similar to the Foamed-PE used in our more affordable Bridges & Falls cables, is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Since nitrogen (like air) does not absorb or release energy into or from the conductor, distortion is minimized. Additionally, the materials stiffness helps the cables conductors stay consistently aligned along its full length, ensuring stable impedance and further reducing distortion.
- Solid Conductors: Prevent strand interaction to minimize dynamic distortion in cables.
- 1.25% Silver Plating: Applied to Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to enhance noise dissipation.
- Metal Layer Noise Dissipation: Effectively shields noise by absorbing and reflecting most RFI before it reaches the ground layer.
- Hard-Cell Foam Insulation: High air content minimizes energy absorption, resulting in clearer sound.
- Direction Controlled Conductors: All conductors are controlled to manage RF-noise directionality.
