Details
AudioQuest Diamond USB is equipped with 100% Silver conductors and Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation to ensure the optimal dissipation of radio-frequency noise.

Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors
Solid conductors eliminate electrical and magnetic strand-interaction. PSS Solid-Silver reduces distortion from grain boundaries and enhances linear RF Noise-Dissipation.
Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Achieving 100% shield coverage is simple. To prevent captured Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from affecting the equipments ground reference, AQs Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) is essential. Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and redirect noise/RF energy to the component ground, which alters and distorts the crucial reference ground plane, leading to signal distortion. NDS uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to shield the shield, absorbing and reflecting most of the noise/RF energy before it reaches the grounded layer.

72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)
Any insulation between two or more conductors acts as a dielectric, and its properties can impact signal integrity. When the dielectric is unbiased, its involvement (energy absorption and non-linear release) causes varying time delays (phase shifts) for different frequencies and energy levels, which can be problematic for highly time-sensitive, multi-octave audio. The addition of an RF Trap (developed for AudioQuests Niagara Series of power products) ensures that radio-frequency noise is not induced into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements. - Solid Conductors: Prevents strand-interaction, reducing dynamic distortion.
- Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS): Minimizes distortion and maximizes RF noise dissipation.
- Carbon-Based Noise Dissipation: Alternates metal and carbon-loaded layers to shield RF noise.
- 72v DBS Technology: Saturates and polarizes insulation, enhancing dynamic sound against a quiet background.
- Hard-Cell Foam Insulation: High air content reduces energy absorption for clearer sound.
- Direction Controlled Conductors: Optimizes RF-noise directionality for enhanced performance.
