In addition to other trusted AudioQuest materials and design methods, ThunderBird boasts solid, directionally controlled conductors made from our highest-quality copper—Perfect Surface Copper+ (PSC+)—Copper-Plated RF-Draining Barrels, and our Level-6 Noise-Dissipation System.
All interconnects in the Mythical Creature series are offered with custom-made RCA and XLR terminations.


Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors
Solid conductors stop the interaction between electrical and magnetic strands. PSC+ Solid-Copper reduces distortion from grain boundaries and enhances linear RF Noise-Dissipation.
Level 6 Noise-Dissipation: ZERO-Tech + Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network + Direction-Controlled
Radio-Frequency Noise from sources like cellular, WiFi, and satellites is widespread. AQs Level 6 Linear Noise-Dissipation features a carbon and graphene resistive mesh-network, direction-controlled conductors, and Silver-Plated drain wires, greatly reducing the masking effects of RF Noise.




ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic Impedance) for Linear, Wide-Bandwidth Noise-Dissipation
The only way to eliminate characteristic-impedance mismatch effects between a cable and its connected source and load circuits is to ensure the cable has no characteristic impedance. ZERO-Tech achieves this by removing the electrostatic field between the cables high and low signal conductors, allowing for linear Radio-Frequency (RF) Noise-Dissipation across all octaves and uncompressed transients.
