Bowers & Wilkins FPM 6 Flat Panel Monitor Speaker is the largest model in the FPM Series height perfectly to match 60-inch Plasma Screen. Compared to the other models, its enclosure is not only longer, it's wider too, which allows the use of two larger Kevlar® cone bass/midrange drivers each side of the Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeter. Higher output level capability and greater bass extension result, but timbre matching allows complete freedom to mix different models for left and right front, centre and surround if desired.

Freedom and flexibility extend to the four possible mounting options. Use the supplied wall bracket if no tilting of the speaker is needed. If it is, use an Omnimount® type 20.0 or other compatible brackets to get up to 10º of downward tilt. If using a tabletop stand for your screen, simply do the same with the speakers, using the optional table stand. Finally, there is an optional floor stand that supports the speaker at the ideal listening height.

Nautilus™

Nautilus™ symbolises all the qualities of innovation, dedication and love of music which have inspired Bowers & Wilkins engineers, designers and production teams ever since our company was established over 40 years ago. The Nautilus offers a unique chance to hear music exactly as recorded: detailed, vibrantly alive, full of power and unhindered by speaker distortion or cabinet diffraction.

Kevlar®

Kevlar® has been Bowers & Wilkins’ cone material of choice since 1974, and with good reason. Not only does it deliver a cleaner sound, but it can also do so to a wider group of listeners. The distinctive yellow cones are found on almost all Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers.

Flowport™

Bowers & Wilkins’s Flowport™ minimises turbulence in the same way as a golf ball. Dimples on the surface generate tiny eddy currents over which air can flow smoothly, reducing turbulence, and improving performance. This is because if turbulence occurs as the air moves in and out of the port, you’ll hear extraneous noise and, as you turn the volume up, the bass won’t be as tight and well-timed as it should be.
