How does the Era 100 SL differ from the standard Era 100?

Both models share the exact same sound quality and internal design. The only difference is that the Era 100 SL lacks built-in microphones. Because of this, the SL version does not work with voice assistants and requires an Apple iOS device to perform Trueplay tuning via the Advanced Tuning feature. The standard Era 100, on the other hand, supports voice control and allows Trueplay tuning on both Android and Apple devices.

Can I create a stereo pair with the Era 100 SL?

Yes. You can link two Era 100 SL units together, or combine one with a regular Era 100 for stereo sound in the same room. These paired speakers can also function as rear surrounds with the Arc Ultra, Arc, Beam, or Ray soundbars. However, they cannot be paired with older models like the Sonos One, One SL, or Play:1.

Does the Era 100 SL play Dolby Atmos audio?

By itself, the Era 100 SL does not support spatial audio (the Era 300 is recommended for standalone Atmos). However, if you use a pair of Era 100 SLs as rear surround speakers alongside an Arc Ultra, Arc, or Beam (Gen 2) soundbar, the system will support Dolby Atmos playback.

Is Bluetooth available right out of the box?

No, you must initially set up the Era 100 SL over Wi-Fi through the Sonos application. Once that is complete, you can connect Bluetooth devices using the button on the back. Keep in mind that Bluetooth is automatically disabled if the speakers are configured as home theatre surrounds.

What voice assistants are compatible with the Era 100 SL?

None. Because the Era 100 SL lacks built-in microphones, it cannot be used with any voice assistants.
