The MCR-N560D lets you connect the usual audio sources like CD, radio and USB, but also includes network functions to greatly expand your musical choices. You can link to a home network to listen to music from your PC or NAS, stream music from online sources, and enjoy thousands of radio stations via Internet Radio. You can also stream your own stored music from your smartphone or tablet.

Providing compatibility with FLAC/WAV 192kHz/24bit audio signals, the MCR-N560D lets you play back content downloaded in FLAC or WAV formats from music sites. Yamaha technologies refined over many years ensure high stability and reliability.

Download Yamaha’s Network Player Controller app (NP Controller) and use it to browse your device display to select the source or tune what you want to play, as well as to see song information and album art. You can also adjust network and other settings. The app is compatible with either iOS (iPod, iPhone, iPad) or Android OS.

DAB+ version is Digital Audio Broadcasting that offers a large selection of radio stations with high sound quality. Other benefits include automatic tuning to available stations with a list to choose from, and display of information such as station name.

In order to play network sound sources with high sound quality, the MCR-N560D is equipped with a highly efficient digital amplifier that ensures high sound clarity with low distortion. The amplifier power source and output filter utilise a high capacity capacitor and a high performance filter, selected based on extensive listening tests. You’ll be able to reach all sound sources including high resolution ones, with satisfactory high-quality sound.

The MCR-N560D, which offers playback of two sound sources—CD and network audio—consists of separate circuit boards for CD/DAC and for network audio. Separating the power source and ground of the signal processor and amplifier minimises mutual interference of audio signals. The digital audio source connects to amplifier without DA conversion, achieving clear and wide range sound quality with minimal signal loss.

To prevent unwanted cabinet vibration, Yamaha developed an internal structure called VCCS (Vibration Control Cabinet Structure) that uses strategically placed pieces of a composite material providing excellent vibration isolation performance. In addition, three legs provide additional shock absorption, considerably enhancing sound quality.

The speaker units are a 12 cm cone woofer and a 3 cm soft dome tweeter. The woofer is an A-PMD (Advanced Polymer-injected Mica Diaphragm) unit created by downsizing and performing specialised tuning of a woofer used in Yamaha’s high-end speakers of “Soavo” line. It is a high specification speaker using the white cone, the symbol of Yamaha high sound quality.

The main unit, which combines a hairline-finish aluminium front panel and piano or wood-grain side panels, has an a traditional, elegant design that features diamond shaped front corners. The volume knob has a high-grade texture, thanks to the use of aluminium.
