Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors

Solid conductors eliminate electrical and magnetic interference between strands. PSS solid silver reduces distortion from grain boundaries and enhances consistent, linear RF noise dissipation.

Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation

Achieving 100% shield coverage is straightforward, but preventing captured Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from affecting the system's ground reference requires AudioQuest's Noise-Dissipation System (NDS). Unlike conventional shielding, which simply redirects noise to the component ground—potentially distorting the reference ground and the signal—NDS uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to shield the shield. This design absorbs and reflects most RFI before it can reach the grounded layer, preserving signal integrity.

FEP Air-Tube Insulation

The positive conductors are designed with minimal contact between the metal and its FEP insulation, which offers an exceptionally low dielectric constant and reduces signal interference. In contrast, the negative conductors use purposefully lossy insulation—without air or FEP—to better suit the unique role of the negative signal path.
