Details
AudioQuest Boxer RCA subwoofer cable features solid 1.25% Silver conductors, Polyethylene Air-Tubes, and a Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation system.

Solid 1.25% Silver Conductor
Solid 1.25% Silver-Plated Copper Conductors offer an excellent cost-effective solution to boost the sharpness of a subwoofer, improving articulation and clarity.
Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Achieving 100% shield coverage is straightforward. To prevent captured Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from affecting the equipments ground reference, AQs Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) is used. Traditional shield systems typically absorb and drain noise/RF energy to the component ground, which modulates and distorts the critical reference ground plane, leading to signal distortion. NDS uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to shield the shield, absorbing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the ground-attached layer.

Polyethylene Air-Tube Insulation
Any solid material next to a conductor is essentially part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials absorb energy, some of which is stored and later released as distortion. However, AudioQuest uses Polyethylene Air-Tube Insulation on both conductors to enhance geometry stabilization and improve clarity. Since air absorbs almost no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss with a minimal distortion profile, Polyethylene Air-Tube Insulation—with its high air content—creates much less of the out-of-focus effect typically caused by other materials.
- Solid Conductors: Prevent strand interaction, reducing dynamic distortion in cables.
- 1.25% Silver-Plating: Applied to Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to enhance noise dissipation.
- 3-Layer Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation: Alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics absorb and reflect most RF energy, improving noise reduction.
- Polyethylene Air-Tubes: Designed with low-loss, high-air content to minimize the out-of-focus effect, ensuring optimal performance.
- Direction Controlled: All conductors are controlled for RF-noise directionality.
