Details
Yamaha NS-800A 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers Pair delivers faithful timbre and precise sound. It features a Harmonious Diaphragm, Acoustic Absorber, and R.S. Chamber for clear nuances, plus a piano finish and Twisted Flare Port for authentic, tight bass.

TOTAL ELEGANCE WITH CLEAR SOUND FIELD
Yamaha, renowned for its musical instruments, has crafted the NS-800A bookshelf speaker, blending sophisticated aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. The speaker boasts a stunning, piano-like finish on its cabinet. Inside, Yamaha’s exclusive Harmonious Diaphragm ensures an exceptionally unified sound. These speakers also excel at reproducing a remarkable sound field, a characteristic unique to bookshelf designs. All of this culminates in a truly special listening experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the music.

PERFECTLY UNIFIED TONE
Yamaha, a globally recognized musical instrument brand, is dedicated to faithfully reproducing the sound of instruments. To achieve this, we've designed our flagship speakers with a core concept: consistent tone color across the entire frequency spectrum. We've implemented unique technology to make this a reality.
Each speaker unit in the NS-800A features the newly developed Harmonious Diaphragm. This diaphragm is crafted from a blend of ZYLON, known for its excellent sound velocity and ideal internal sound dampening, and spruce, the very wood used in the soundboards of Yamaha grand pianos and crucial for sound emanation. This innovative construction ensures that the harmonies in the music are prominent, resulting in a richer and more beautiful listening experience.

TOTAL MUSIC REPRODUCTION
Yamaha's patented R.S. (Resonance Suppression) chambers are positioned behind the tweeter to accurately convey even the most subtle details of musical instruments and voices. These chambers feature two uniquely shaped tubes that eliminate undesirable resonance produced behind the diaphragm, restoring the original sound and preserving delicate musical nuances.

FAITHFUL MUSICAL PRESENCE
Unlike traditional speakers that rely heavily on sound-absorbing materials to suppress internal standing waves, often at the cost of the music's natural freshness, the NS-800A utilizes our patented Absorber tube. This design effectively eliminates standing waves while significantly reducing the need for extensive absorbing material. The result is a reproduction of music's original realism, delivered with complete energy and dynamism.

HIGHLY MUSICAL VIBRATION CONTROL
The fundamental principles for achieving superb sound, identifying how the enclosure resonates and where to control vibrations, are nearly identical for both musical instruments and speakers. The NS-800A's cabinet design incorporates advanced speaker technology, leveraging laser vibrometers (used in musical instrument R&D) and sophisticated FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis. The cabinet's cross piece has been optimally reinforced, providing superior sound localization that makes you feel present at the performance, and delivering outstanding expressive power that fully reproduces even the most subtle instrumental and vocal nuances.

SEAMLESS SONIC PERFORMANCE
This includes the MCap SUPREME Classic audio capacitor, manufactured by Germany's Mundorf and widely recognized as the top audio capacitor

TWISTED FLARE PORT
This speaker features Yamaha's proprietary Twisted Flare Port, a design that subtly twists the airflow as it exits the port.

HIGH-QUALITY FEEL
The speaker terminals are uniquely designed to offer a luxurious feel and are shaped to comfortably fit your fingers, allowing for effortless tightening.
